Serves: 4 Ingredients:
1 tbsp butter
1 large yellow onion, thinly sliced
1 tbsp brown sugar
1 shot bourbon
Kosher salt and ground black pepper
Instructions:
Melt butter in a small sauté pan.
Add onions to pan and cook for about 1 to 2 minutes until they start to brown.
Add brown sugar. Stir well and continue cooking for approximately 10 minutes or until onions are light brown, stirring constantly to prevent burning.
When onions begin to caramelize, remove from heat and add bourbon. Season to taste with salt and pepper.
